Just another take on a old idea. This sort of phreaking is illegal in all 50 states (US) and many other places worldwide. If you get caught with one the penalties can be both expensive and severe.

Most traffic laws are ridiculous anyway.

In most states the cover that makes it harder to read or take a picture of the license is illegal and will get you a ticket. In AZ any frame around the plate even can get you a ticket. The chances are good that buying this would get you a ticket even before you broke a law and they tried to take your pic. Just follow the law guys and this would not be needed.

In my town, runnin a red is only a $125 offense, and most intersections don’t have cameras so… I’d rather pay that than run the risk of getting caught with an illegal device.

That’s exactly what I was thinking. If a photo of someone’s license plate is taken by those cameras, they probably deserve a ticket.
